New York, New Yo...
There’s something empowering about wearing a tailored jacket, especially one which you have made for yourself. Say hello to the Jorinde jacket, complete with front yokes, top-stitching, flap pockets and guess what? This pattern is FREE!
For today’s Androgynous variation we adjusted the pocket flaps to be straight- not curved as the pattern piece indicates. We chose a subtle gray wool suiting fabric, a light silk lining and muted shell buttons. This jacket style looks great with high-waist trousers or thrown over a dress on a cool summer night…
Styling Notes: “I wanted to show this jacket in an androgynous fashion. I paired the jacket with tough looking high-waist Balenciaga trousers and a more demure ivory silk vintage blouse. The hat was made for a friend in Denmark and adds an alluring silhouette to almost anything you wear it with.” -alison
