This dress is made using Vogue patter number 8511. I love this dress, especially because of the very flattering pleats at the front that helps you hide that tummy.
The dress only required lining on the bodice, but I lined it all the way through as I think this sort of dress sits better with lining.
It looks very plain on the dummy, but it looks great with a wide belt and a silk scarf (royal blue or brilliant yellow looks fab) or dress it up a little with some chunky sparkly jewellery and some heels.
I made it out of chocolate brown linen – I love the colour (doesn’t photograph that well) and love working with and wearing linen.
Hope you like it.
