I wanted a skirted (or frock) coat, but suited for winter. So I got this nice wool tweed.
The pattern wasn’t really meant for this heavy fabric, and I would need to widen it around the hips, but I need it soon, so I won’t alter this one. Maybe the next version.
The inspiration was the coat Sylar wears in the final episodes of Heroes Season 1. ;)

I like your choice of fabric. I’m nor sure I am up for sewing such thick fabric, but would love to try some day. Nice job! I’d definitely wear this coat.
