Vogue 8146 (supposedly “Very Easy”, but I beg to differ!!!)
I love this jacket, I love this colour, I love everything except the fabric :(
I had read that wool felt when washed was like boiled wool (which I really like), but this is so stiff, that the back pleats stick out like two dorsal fins!! Any suggestions as to how I can soften the fabric will be much appreciated.
Shell- Italian wool felt (35% wool, 65% rayon)
Lining- Chinese pure silk chiffon
Frog closures (instead of buttons)

Jenny, I also love the color and style of the jacket!!! I have only used 100% wool when felting not had the issue. Maybe take it to dry cleaners and they can block it on a body steamer?? Not sure.. Maybe call the dry cleaner and ask before taking it to them.
Sending you Big Hugs, Patti

Thanks Patti, someone else suggested the drycleaner too, I have a friend who told me to take it outside and beat it with a stick?!! I avoided 100% as I read it was really only suitable for craft and not garments. Just wish I had made it in something that drapes better.
