A three piece mix and match outfit for the cooler months. All items are lined and the waistcoat back and the waistcoat lining are the same fabric. I omitted a waistband as such and using petersham made an internal waisband as I seem to find these more comfortable as I am short waisted. I used different patterns i.e. I drafted the skirt pattern, used an old Butterick pattern for the trousers and a new Simplicity pattern for the waiscoat.
The fabric was a polyster/ wool mix – only a small percentage of wool. It frayed easily and was overlocked as soon as cutting out.

I have chosen to call the colour " Mulberry " Yesterday I wore the trouser suit with a soft lilac jumper and it looked good.
