Love the look of this coat, but left out the pleating on the shoulders, wanted a more earthen look with this fabric. Please see my blog sewrmaciwi.wordpress.com for other info. Sizing was quite big, I’m more like a 14-16 Australian size. Had to take in the smallest pattern size quite a bit, kept trying it on to get a better fit. The collar really makes it, as does the leather straps at the front. The cut of this pattern is very good, the shaping of the pattern pieces are excellent. The overall fit and comfort is very good.
Marcy Tilton stretch denim with ‘worn’ woven design. Fully lined. Leather straps and buckles for front closure and back tab. Chinese brocade (synthetic) for the pockets and back tab, used iron on facing to get the gathering to press flat on the pockets and back tab.
