Description

I have finally got pictures taken of my winter cape. Last year, I created a spring cape that I could wear in warmer weather. I loved it and wanted to make a second. The winter in Oregon is usually warm enough to wear a cape, but really rainy. I wanted a hood on the cape to keep out the rain. I had some black fabric that I got for free and some soft velvety flower printed fabric that I got for really cheap. I drafted a hood from a jacket that I wear during the winter. I added a few extra inches so that it would fall out in a more dramatic way. I decided to make the belt with a belt look instead of a tie because the fabric looked like a bathrobe tie once tied. I had found the sparkly belt buckle at a flea market in Maine for a dollar. I then found some gloves at a shop for $4. In these photos I am wearing Versace pants and an angora sweater that I got during a clothing swap party.

How cute. I like the pink and black together on this.

Thanks. I really liked the soft pink fabric, but I thought that it may be a little too loud as a cape. The black tames it a bit and makes the pink the accent color.
