I fell in love with the Loro Piana Sloane Cape. But at a price tag of $4650 i thought that was a bit ridiculous.
So i used new look pattern #6007 (on sale from sewingpatterns.com) and i got 3 awesome yards of green wool on sale and made my cape. in all it took me 6 hrs to make. and i LOVE IT! my total cost was $30. so i saved myself $4620. not bad
here is the cape that inspired it all:

That’s awesome! Even if you had decided to make the cape with cashmere like your inspiration, it would have cost so much less! I love the colour too :)

Your cape is beautiful and the colour gorgeous. You should be so proud of yourself as you have done a wonderful sewing job. Plus you saved all that money. Well done.
