I’ve seen this jacket in the the actual Burda issue and had to try it.
It’s my first jacket and was not easy but I think in the end it worked out really well. I like it and can’t wait until winter :)
green wool, black satin, four buttons

Oh yes, I have to try it too! Your jacket turned out really nice, especially for a first one. Well done girl! Lauriana and pippilotta33 had given you a good advice, ironing would make a big difference.

Really nice Jacket. Looks very professional. Can’t believe it is you first Jacket ever. I might consider making it now as well. But I thought the same as lauriana wrote: please iron it! This makes it look much more professional. I always use a wet dish-cloth to press wool. (By the way, it is usually much easier to iron each seam directly after sewing it and not at the end, but that’s for the future).

The jacket looks great. Nice colour very nice shape, neatly made. There’s just one little bit of advice I’d like to add to make it look even more ‘finished’. It looks like it could do with some pressing. Try out on a scrap how much heat and steam the wool will take (if it doesn’t stand up to that treatment very well, use a piece of white or neutral coloured cotton fabric between the wool and the iron). Then, carefully press all edges of the jacket (hems, pocket flaps, etc.) into shape. Always iron on the inside, thereby protecting the outside of your jacket from iron shine. If you use a cloth, you can iron on the outside. Oh, and be careful with satin, it will not deal with the heat of the iron the way wool does.
