I had a go at making the Azalea dress, even though it’s the middle of winter where I live (hence the stockings, boots and thermal!) I struggled with the pattern a bit – it seemed way too big. I had to cut the top part again as the straps were so far apart they were off my shoulders. Hmmm, not sure what I did wrong there. I like it, although I’m not sure it is really a ‘me’ thing to wear so I may donate it to my sister.
Oh, and I think trying to put my first zip in at 10pm was a bad idea! My patience and tolerance levels were rather low.
Only changes were to add iron-on interfacing to the length of the tie.

Looks great! I love the azalea pattern. I’m working on two now!
Here’s a zipper hint…I always leave it out! since the bust line actually sits above the bust, and there is no waist line to deal with, I find slips right over my head like a tank top. Of course, I have no boobs, so it may be different if you’re lucky enough to have them.
My next two versions are for pregnant friends, so we’ll see if I can be so bold as to leave out the zipper…they DEFINITELY have boobs!
Great job! Good to know this can be winter-wear too!

It looks great. I like that you can wear it from season to season.

I like the fabric combination you used; and adding interfacing to the tie gives it a crisper look. Nice job!
