Description

It’s Oktoberfest season! In honor of our company and founders’ roots, we are offering this beautiful dirndl pattern. Based on the historical dress of Alpine peasants, the dirndl is the traditional dress of southern Germany and Austria. In Munich, wearing a dirndl is still a normal way to dress. We can’t wait to see how you all interpret this pattern!

As a German living in the south I have to add that wearing a dirndl might be normal when visiting the Oktoberfest in Munich but definitely not when you go shopping or to cafes or restaurants :-)

Hi everyone, I have to fess up. This pattern was supposed to be up for cost and I posted it without putting the cost up. This is my fault and everyone who got here early and downloaded it, you got an extra surprise. Please forgive me and support the pattern. We need to charge for some patterns to cover the costs of running a website and produce these wonderful patterns. Sorry everyone!

    Hey Powerpuffgirl,

I would love to get you a lederhosn pattern. Unfortunately we don’t have one at the moment and since pattern production takes about two to sometimes three months, I think we can’t do it for you this time. If I come across one, I will let you know. Have fun at the oktoberfest nevertheless, maybe I see you there. (I get to go for a night, visiting my family in Germany!)

I’m so happy you offer a Dirndl pattern! I’ll sew one – sadly I’m too slowly to make it for this years Oktoberfest, but a friend of mine is going to marry “bavarian style” next year… :-) You colour choices are great! Thanks a lot – I’m looking forward to the pattern.

What happened? The dirndl was here in ’Creations", but never uploaded. I kept getting a #500 message. I hope that it will be uploaded by tomorrow, Tuesday. Nehmah

oooooh, you girls look so cute! I’m jealous- the closest my country has to a national costume is… our Olympic team uniforms maybe? A dirndl would be far more flattering :o)
