wide leg summer trousers

Melbourne, Austr...

my first trousers :) I bought an old butterick 6154 from an op shop for $0.50 it was a couple of sizes too small, so I had a guess at adding 2.5cm to each side and it worked out pretty good! Probably they are a tiny bit big in the back, but it was too hard to keep adjusting.
Trousers are WAY easier to sew than I thought! getting a good fit is probably the hard bit, but the actual piecing together is easy
oh and you can make some pretty awesome suspenders too with this pattern!

Material Notes

100% linen $8/m (if your in Melbourne get yourself down to Footscray for some awesome fabric bargains!)

Garment Type
Business, Classic

Wow, these pants are brilliant. Particluarly the back of the waistband. I’d love to find a similar pattern.

Great job on your first trouser! NO fear, it’s the best way to learn!
