Oh it’s been a while since I’ve posted any new projects or even made anything new, I need to get more productive in the autumn again… This outfit is a school project made in spring and photographed in summer. We had trouser pattern making course which I was super excited about and we also designed and made one outfit at the course. It can be really hard to succeed in making fitting trouser pattern for yourself but I was lucky and mine came out surprisingly easily. I’ve had a little obsession of wide leg pants for a while and I knew immediately what kind of trousers I wanted to make; sailorish, high waisted with wide legs. I used self dyed linen fabric that drapes well. The trousers have pockets that create an angle line with waist darts. The top is a simple front tie blouse with color blocks, its fully lined because I didn’t want to struggle with finishing all the edges. I like the finished outfit although I believe I’m going to wear the peaces more separately that together, the trousers and the blouse together make me feel a little “pin up” for some reason… which is quite hilarious as we were supposed to design sportswear! Well, maybe beach walks are the best sport for me :-) Photos again by Noora.
