my husband HATES this outfit… doesn’t hug nearly enough curves for his liking. i suppose i am flattered. i think it’s sorta nifty. it was supposed to have ties down the front, but i decided to use pseudo-buttons (meaning: i do not have a button hole attachment, those buttons have snaps underneath that curtain!) i do need advice on the back… where i can see what he means about my curves. i don’t have quite that much junk in the trunk… the legs go straight down from the waist, which is supposed to be encased in elastic. should i add the elastic? will that help my cause? or should i add darts or tucks and use my $2 pink belt to cinch the waist?
$1 fabric at joanns... hopefully it's cotton. i THINK it is.
i made this after seeing the project runway episode where they did the “out of fashion” challenge… the teeny designer with black curly hair (name?) was wearing a denim jumper and i wanted one immediately. she was also doing a jumper, as apparently, they are out of fashion.

I love this jumpsuit. If I didn’t have such a short waist, I would definately make this one. Very cute!

I absolutely LOVE THIS!! It is a bit baggy in the back, but you can easily put some darts in there. Great work!

Oooh, I Love this!! This is awesome! It looks great on you. As for the back… I think the elastic would fix it. Baste it in first if your not sure about it? Don’t dare get rid of that hot pink belt though, it’s rockin’ the outfit! I’m jealous! Let us know what you do.

Cool. I love jumpers too – tried to make one but it is still an UFO cause I have difficulties with the zipper on the back. I will definitely go for the elastic or the darts. Elastic is easier and it always fits – cause it is elastic! I can say elastic once more if you want?

This is sooooo cool!!! I want one! I have no curves anywhere, but my mannequin does:( , so quite often I have to make little alterations at the last minute. I’m a huge fan of elastic and darts, I really think you could do either. It might look a bit more casual with elastic and dressier with darts…..can’t wait to see what you do!!

Oh my god. This is awesome! I can see what you mean about the back not being fitted to your liking, and I’d recommend placing two loooong darts and seeing how that works. (The belt is definitely a keeper!) Also, I cannot tell if you have this in the pictures, but maybe pressing creases along the center of the pant legs would give it more of that sleeker look too? Either way, it’s fabulous. :)
