Why Didn't I Think of this Sooner Flannel Slip

I love wearing skirts in winter, and while tights are great, sometimes you’d just rather wear the awesome knee-high socks without having to wriggle into tights as well. And sometimes you have a, you know, see-through skirt!

I made this slip out of natural flannel, which is not only super-easy to work with, but is very affordable.

A flannel slip is kind of a brilliant idea for winter skirt-wearing. It looks warm, but delicate enough to not impair the flow of the skirt. Wonderful!

Feel absolutely free to retry the project, I can’t wait to see what some other seamsters do with it. I think the actual name should be “Why Didn’t I think of this Sooner Slip.”

congrats for gettting into sewing blogging (says me who just started a few months back too!!) … you can get warm by wearing the flannel slip or looking at my pics in sunny India ( I think I’ve been pointing that out too much and now it’s been raining and raining for the past few days:( ) In Romania where I come from winters are no joke, so I was always very “shy” when it came to approaching skirts… your idea is ideal if don’y want to resign yourself hehe

Mmmm toasty! Why haven’t I thought of that? I have already asked my mom to knit me a pair of legwarmers to make skirt wearing more enjoyable for the next few months. Great idea!
