I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS SOFT JERSEY KNIT AT MY LOCAL MARKET AND KNEW STRAIGHT AWAY WHAT I WANTED TO DO WITH IT- I DRAFTED A PATTERN FROM A GOOD FITTING LONG SLEEVE TSHIRT AND JUST CUT IT LONGER FOR A DRESS.
I MADE THIS OVER THE EASTER BREAK WITH NO SEWING CLASS FOR GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT SO I TOTALLY WINGED IT WHEN DOING THE SLEEVES- IVE NEVER DONE SET IN SLEEVES BEFORE
OK SO ITS NOT PERFECT THE PATTERN DOESNT MATCH UP RIGHT AT THE SLEEVES BUT I DONT THINK ITS TOO BAD FOR A FIRST ATTEMPT AND I WILL DEFINITELY WAIT FOR MY SEWING CLASS NEXT TIME I WORK ON SLEEVES!
IT WAS QUITE NERVEWRECKING STEPPING OUT MY FRONT DOOR WEARING SOMETHING I HAD MADE BUT I WASNT SHAMED OUT OF TOWN SO FEEL REALLY PLEASED AND GIVEN ME CONFIDENCE TO DO MORE!
