The pattern comes from the Leko web site, #5681, with few alterations.
I had two takes on this skirt, and the first one was a failure due to inadequate skirt shape. It turned out that a pencil skirt made of bias cut fabric is a big NO NO on my body. So, the first skirt went to my brother’s girlfriend, who’s 2 sizes smaller than me. I’ll post her skirt too, as soon as I take some photos of it.
So, for the second skirt I altered the pattern a bit – made it slightly A shaped, which looked much better on me. Also, the original pattern had identical front and back pieces, which had no waist darts. That seemed odd to me, so I made few more alterations, which incorporated separate front and back waist pieces with waist darts.
Shell fabric – White linen with black stripes
Lining – light viscose

Wonderful skirt – and thank you for the advice for the pattern! I found it and about 800 other free patterns too!

Thanks! Actually, the pictures are from Lisbon, Portugal, where I was on my vacation. I live in Belgrade, Serbia, which is not as pretty as Lisbon is, but is very dynamic and interesting, and you should visit it if you can.

Cute. I bought several of these patterns a while back when they were on sale. Now there are two sizes being offered for the month of Sept for free. Got a whole bunch of them too. ;) Again this is cute and now I am going back to get it. Because I didn’t like the skirt and skipped it or just looked over it. But made up like you have it is quite subtle yet it still makes a unique statement. I like it.

I really like the swirl/wrap effect. I think it’s perfect with that subtle pattern!
