What do you get when you have a pile of unwanted fake flowers and a whole lot of vintage buttons lying around at home? You turn them into beautiful accoutrements for your outfits, of course!
This is the first one I made – it’s comprised of two fake flowers (white and blotchy taupe) and a vintage gold button. No glue was used; instead I arranged the flowers and sewed them together, then sewed a safety pin to the back so that this little beauty could be attached to any item of clothing.
I’m impressed with the lovely effect created when this “pin” is used to adorn jackets, tops, hats and headbands (or snoods, as in these photos)!
I’ve made a few of these as presents for friends who all seem to love them! Definitely a fun project and 100% recycled, woohoo!

This was fun to make, if not a bit fiddly…
