I’ve been wanting to make a classic white jacket for some time now. I opted for Mccalls 5525 which is for a trench coat style. I made the shortest length and omitted many of the trench coat details. I kept the sleeve band which I thought was a unique feature. The jacket wasn’t difficult to make but time consuming in that there are many pieces. It is fully lined. I love the end result! It is the perfect weight for wearing throughout the year. More on my blog.
The shell is a stretch white twill. The lining is polyester. I used these super cute buttons that are silver with a leaf design.
30 select jacket and coat patterns are now marked down to $3.99.
