Oh the glamor of hate! First time making a hat when I took a millinery class. Again, it’s white… But I love it. Maybe I should have cut the top open for a more editorial look. (…and no, the jacket has nothing to do with me)

I guess the vintage look just brings out so much glamor and elegance out of a lady. once you put a beautiful hat on, it frames your face, and make a strong statement. It’s sad that nowadays we don’t really wear this kind of hats. Making hat is pretty easy, cause basically you have to buy the foundation anyway (unless you found a workshop to block the hat for you), and you just add the trims on top. People should have tea party and hat is required!

Kathariney, I like your hat. It sounds like millinery class wasn’t exactly an undivided pleasure, but the result is something to be proud of. I would still like to learn making hats some day, but I’ve got a long list of things I want to learn… Amarie, I agree that there seems to be a bit of a vintage trend, and I love it. I also really like hats, but here in the Netherlands, nobody is really wearing them.

The other day at Metropolis Coffee shop, I wished I had my camera for I saw this woman wearing jeans and shirt and some cardigan which is nothing special except she was wearing this fabulous hat. It’s almost like this but not as wide-brimmed. I’ve been noticing a trend towards vintage in just about everything, the patterns like the Kristen dress, the 1950s photo stylings of allie31991, and here an accessory. I thought that woman looked so cool. I am loving this trend a lot!
