The pattern that I used for this garment comes from the book Drape drape and it’s no. 3 drop-waist gather drape dress. I made a couple of changes: 1. I lengthen the dress to be just under my knees and 2. I didn’t place a zip in the back just because the fabric is stretchy enough to allow to pull the dress on. I only had a little trouble finishing the armholes but just because the fabric was kind of thick and heavy and it didn’t stay still in place when pressed. So, I had to pin the armholes hems, baste them and finally topstitched them. Other than that it was such an easy dress to make and a very fun project. Definitely, I’m going to make this dress again but this time adding a variation to it. And I will give it to mom for Mother’s Day.
