I like both dresses. But the first one is amazing, I could see a Hollywood star on the red carpet with it.

Ok. Heh, Hem. YOU ARE ASTONISHING!!! I WANT the first one! Being that I’m nearly 40 I could so rock that thing. Maybe in forrest green rather than the yellow… And Why, Oh Why do they not listen? This is EXACTLY why I refuse to do Bridal. I’ve developed an assertive manner just beacuse some clients get sooooo belligerant. Now I tell them flat out if it will suit them or not, if they won’t do what I say they can go by something Off The Rack >:l You did the most amazing job with both versions, though it does look like a Mother/Daughter set, not two for the same person. Beautiful, yet again.

Oh, Honey :* That’s so sweet. Just glad they were happy tears ;)
I could so kick Forrest Green with the sequins, and the beads, and the drapy fabric… Hmmmm.
I’ll make sure I put up my new dress picks as soon as possible. I finally finished it. I leave a trail of glitter, just like the bread crumbs through the forrest :)

I forgot to ask… Did you use a super structre (corset type thing) then the outside draping? I’m curious as to how many layers were needed for it to maintain its shape, and for something for you to layer onto. Also guessing you hand sequined/beaded the details.

yes , use a Corset in the inside of it like all of my dresses i make it out of Coutill and the pattern is really special wich i spend nearly 2 years to become it perfect.. i can easily size down 2 sizes… and if the costumer wish even moore
it has a lot of bonings in the inside

then i put a lof of layers of different fabrick at first a really thin layer of coton but not as a fabrik moore like a cosmetik thing… you know what i mean?? then a really thin fabrick as a base because if i dont use a base then it looks like she has cellolit on her body . then i drape my fabrik i wanna use and later i drape the chiffon over it… so it is a huuge work and each step needs a new fitting only then it comes perfect out oonly the corset it self takes around 1 to 2 days with the fitting together

and all the beadings is made by hand :)

Thankyou! I love corsets (making and wearing), so was curious. The more defined bust-waist-hip ratio, generally, the more stunning the look. Feels more feminine too ;)

I prefer to use metal corset twists. Strength and durability. And I get to use my angle grinder :)))) I can never get the plastic boning to look as good as the metal. Maybe it’s just me doing something really silly and stuffing it up. Oh well.

I end up with an average of 7 layers of fabric on my corsets. I tend to put a lot of strain on them and have found them more durable this way.

I just wish i had the time to make something as wonderful as your beautiful gowns :( My stuff is usually quite rushed (opening nights tend to be a fairly big deadline), so time is luxury i don’t often have.

These 2 dresses are magnificent!! Being a more mature person, I love the first dress. But the second is perfect for your young client. Many years ago I had a small dressmaking business and I wasn’t confident enough to tell women that the style they wanted would suit them. Sometimes I would cringe when the outfit that I had made, looked so awful on the client. It does pay to speak your mind, even if you end up losing a client. Because when it works, the client is so happy and they think you are the best and then recommend you to all of their friends. It pays to be assertive.

i play always really risky because i am really open minded and tell always the truth maybe this is what my client like on me:)

and thank you :) it mean a lot for me to hear that _:)

are these two versions, or a befor and after design? I like the drapperry of the first version, this is extravagant.
