Another attempt at the Travelers bag. Zip was a lot easier to get in this time. getting the sides on was harder though. Determined to get this 100% right one day!

It means adding an extra step, but I made one today with piping around the base and sides, (I made my own piping, it was on the thickish side, but the stuff you can buy might have the same effect), and I didn’t have a lick of trouble sewing the sides in. (I normally HATE sewing circles. They always turn out wonky.) The piping made the sides hold their shape and semi-stand up on their own, so they didn’t flop around when I was trying to match up seam allowances. Maybe that would help you get them on easier. I haven’t gotten to the zipper yet, so if I come across any more miracle tips I’ll let you know.

This is such fantastic looking bag. I love the gothic punk flare to it.

Love the plaid! The patch is very unusual with what looks like safety pins and pack man.LOL Just a really great job!
