I made this shirt ofr me, it’s based on my nerdy blouse pattern: i altered only the front yoke, instead of the pleats i made a triangular shaped yoke, with a tiny ruffle.
And yes, i loved playing with checks!!! I used raglan for yoke, flutter sleeves and ruffle, and the regular grainline for front and bottom.
It is wonderful tartan cotton, not printed, but dyed in thread.
