Description

I’ve noticed that I make a lot of things that are kind of… juvenile! I’ll just call it youthful. This vest makes me happy when I wear it, and that’s all that matters. This is another Simplicity pattern, 2556. I made it with a twill polka dot— I think it’s home decor fabric. I like this pattern because all the seams are enclosed within the lining, so there are no raw edges in your garment. The more I sew the more I’ve started to pay attention to the inside of the things I make. It’s nice when the inside looks as good as the outside!

I love it! The back is really interesting. I haven’t tried to make a waistcoat yet as I’m told it can be frustrating… I will try though. Fabulous job! Keep them coming!

not juvenile at all! I think this vest is sophisticated but fun! I love it, it is really flattering on you as well. I want to make one myself now!
