i started to work through my stash of fabric,(to reduce it) and yesterday bought (some more!) 2m of this Ice Knit (trilobal) flower black and white fabric, and decided to make a dress the same day! My husband is coming back from a trip, and i always like to surprise him at the airport with a new dress! I went through all my dress patterns and looked for something fitting for this amount of fabric. I chose Simplicity 4193, but when i bought that pattern, they only had size 20-28, and i’m size 12. i drafted the new size 12 and cut a lining in black trilobal, first fit it to make sure my pattern worked. then i cut the flowers, and it’s a very fast dress! 1 hour! mine is fully lined, the weight of the dress is 650g! very very comfy! Halter neck, elastic in the back. i lengthened the dress 30cms. added a built in bra.
