A self drafted pencil skirt (my first attempt at drafting my own pattern and making a muslin) with a ruffled trim using my new ruffler foot. I lined it in cream silk from my stash, so it feels heaven on. I am really happy with how this skirt turned out. Its super flattering and looks very vintage. And I now have a muslin template skirt for all future straight skirts. Bonus! One of the things I love about BurdaStyle is the amazing project photo’s that look professionally done. Sadly, these photo’s are about as far away from that as you can get.
Vintage mystery linen look (it doesn’t crush so must be synthetic) about 25 years old from my stash. Its a pale blue grey and a gorgeous heavy cream lace trim and matching cream rick rack trim.
