This was one-off couture gown was made for my client who was married in September 2009. The top is a steel boned corset made of metallic silver silk dupion, covered in draped and pleated layers of lilac and silver silk chiffon. The skirt is also metallic silver silk dupion with layers of lilac and silver silk chiffon. The skirt has stiff net at the bottom to help hold the fishtail shape. Both the corset and skirt are decorated with hand appliqued silver lace and Swarovski crystals and flatbacks.
Corset – metallic silk dupion, silk satin lining, calico interlining, straight and spiral steel boning, silk chiffon, lace, Swarovski crystals and flatbacks.
Skirt – metallic silk dupion, silk chiffon, net, lining, lace, Swarovski crystals and flatbacks.
