Description

my own.
The most challenging project ever since I can count in one hand the things I’ve made for my self (used to make for others) and I got a stuck back during our engagement, 4 months before the wedding.

I’m absolutely happy I didn’t give up and made my beautiful gown :)

Thank you ALL for such great compliments! Wow, I’m so new at this site, I had no idea I would have so much and great feedbacks. Thank you!

    Answering some questions:

maha1965- I made the pattern myself. That’s what I do for job, living, and absolute passion :) From sketch to finished dress. Also unlike most of you out there I’m not used to make things for me. I’m always at work for others. I can count the things I’ve make for myself in 1 hand.. Oh gosh that’s so not good! I need to do something about it. I think with my wedding gown it’s a good start :) I love this world of white delicate texture, where femininity and romance encounter in forms of dream and passion.

manati- yes the dress in the background is a flower dress. I made 2 very similar one for our 2 flower girls. Same silk taffeta as my wedding gown. Unfortunately I couldn’t finish them how I planned but I like the result anyways. Aurora and Gabby were absolutely adorable!

The 4 months before my wedding my back got stuck and that has been the most challenging sawing project EVER! Beside all the rest I ended up sawing wedding gown and flower girl dresses a month away from my wedding. I could barely go on with 2 hours of work a day. Can I say MOre then frustrating? Yep, nuts! I almost started thinking I had to give it to someone else to be sewn but I just couldn’t give up. Fact that I make wedding gowns for others and I could not finish my own??? No way, not on my watch. Anyways, at the end somehow it got done in every sense. I just wanted to marry my Christian :) I did feel beautiful in my dress and as happy as I can’t even explain.

Work wise and “sawing wise” I had to take a brake of a year which has been very hard for me. Don’t take me wrong cause at the same time I had the greatest year ever. It’s just life, it can’t be always the same. Thank goodness. Now I’m just ready for this new year!! 2010 I’m definitely going back to work, back to sketch, drawing, sawing, creating and dreaming about my dresses :)

    Happy New Year everyone!!!! :)

Very nice and talented. I see there is a little dress hanging in the background, is that for the flower girl? very cute too.
