Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Skirt worked in pure silk satin face organza, and the body is in silk peau de seau. The skirt is simple and classic whit a 3 foot train, It has been cut in 7 pieces with a triangular shapes and gather on the upper hip. For a lovely flow, I put under the silk, 5 layers of fine tulle, and then then lining. The skirt has also a crinoline to give the fullness. The top part has been done totally by hand. I cut strips of peau de seau, 2"wide on the bies, foldem in half, iron them and hand sew them liberaly on a base that has a perfect fit. You can notice that the bodice DOES NOT have seams on the sides since it has been worked just in one complete piece, and the back is finishes with silk loops and covered buttons. Hope you enjoy it!!!

Holy moly, Adrianna! Por todos los cielos, este traje no tiene palabras para describirlo! Es sinceramente el traje de novia más favorecedor y mas bonito que he visto. La novia estaba espectacular! Menuda paciencia de angel tienes, mujer. Increible. Y el fruncido de la falda esta perfecto. Del 1 al 10, 15. Este es por mucho mi preferido de los que has hecho y subido. Enhorabuena por 10, que te lo mereces.

hello vji!! actually, I do not think that this is draping….this is a technique that I made doing strips with double fabric, and then I apply each ribbon separetely by hand. I am happy that you like it!!

Bad Kity!!! Thank you!!! I am so happy that you have like both of my proyects!! To be quite honest, yes, the bodice took me long long time, since I did not know a tecnique of how to do it, and I had to just try my self to make it work as I had imagen the design on my head. Thanks God it did work!!!

Thank you, thank you!!! the major problem is that I design it and did´nt know how to make it, and I had to “undo” the work a few times until I found a tecnique. It is difficult to make, takes hours + hours of work and patient, but I enjoy the challenge and the end result.
