My friend Patricia and I were walking downtown Heidelberg, while I listened to all her sad stories about the difficulty of finding some cute wedding dress that is gorgeous but simple and not insanely expensive. I was mostly empathizing with her when I suddenly realized: I could make her that special dress as a wedding gift!
We got immediatly excited bought a pattern, to help us with the bottom details and began sewing the dress a few weeks later.
