This is my wedding dress. It is made of one layer of satin, then two layers of silk organza, and then lace appliques that trail down from the neckline and straps. It is also beaded with crystals. I modified the pattern by making it less of a mermaid shape and more of a trumpet by extending the seams out 1 to 3 inches just by the knees and tapering back to the original pattern line. I also wanted full princess seams rather than a seam under the bust so I used BWOF 2/2008 #113 to extend the princess seams into straps. I matched the pattern up at the waist mark and traced them together. I modified the neckline to be a V, and also took out 2 inches in the back waist since I am short-waisted. This was a work of love and was completed just in time for my October 2 wedding. I also made the veil and the hair flower, and I’m willing to make them for you too!
Polyester satin, silk organza, french lace, swarovski crystals, ambiance lining

Thank you! I modified a pattern from Burda Magazine, from the 4/2009 issue. It was number 126 and I changed the top from long sleeves to what you see above. If you search on ebay you can sometimes find the back issues, but it was really just a dress with princess seams and a flare at the bottom.
