Self drafted button front skirt worn with Deer & Doe’s Airelle Blouse in cotton lawn.
I made the original skirt pattern by tracing around a ready made skirt so that I could make it a lining. The original skirt had a zip at the back and the first skirt I made from the pattern had a back zip. I’m a real fan of button front skirts (all those lovely buttons!) so I adapted my pattern by eliminating the back seam and creating a front opening. I added self facings to the front.
This was my first attempt at drafting my own pattern and I’ve made it 5 times plus the version with the back zip.

This skirt is made of corduroy but I’ve made it in lots of different fabrics as shown in the photo.
