We had a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to celebrate one of my colleague’s birthday. I was in charge of getting an apron for the Birthday girl and I decided to make one instead. I drafted my own apron pattern and created a prototype first (the floral version with ruffles). The final Alice’s version is fully lined (thus can be made reversible but I attached a label at the back) with lace ruffles and some subtle decorative stitchings at the bottom of the skirt. I played the White Rabbit and sewed the rabbit hoodie based on a Threadbanger youtube tutorial. My lovely colleague (also the birthday girl) was modelling the apron and the hoodie in the 1st photo. =)
One of the most beloved American designers passed last night. We look back at a few of his designs.
