I’m a big fan of Emilie Autumn. She final toured the US and I went and saw her back in Oct. 09. I wanted to make something special for the concert, plus I had been toying with the idea on making an EA inspired outfit.
This was a miss-mosh of many different patterns purchased, modified and drafted myself. Jacket, waist cincher and details were done out of red velvet. The Jacket has lace applique on the back, collar and button details. Jacket sleeves are pleated, base is a normal jacket pattern hacked off to the right length. Waist cincher is fully lined, boned and is detailed with pink piping, lace and ribbon; it laces up the back. Pattern was by Burda. Corset was one I owned and added pink beads at the bottom. Skirt was from a western saloon girl pattern by Simplicity, but I added the striped panels on the front and back. Fabrics used on the skirt was a pink crimp taffeta, a red/black taffeta, and red patterned silk (?). Hat was made from the same material as the train for the skirt and was embellished with a cameo, lace, ribbon, and crystals. Side ribbons and details were made in to pins that are pinned to the corset. Stockings were purchased, boots I have owned FOREVER, wig was my from my Blind Mag cosplay. Locket was one I owned, cameo earrings and necklace purchased from my work.
Velvet, Taffeta, lace, ribbon, silk, cotton, beads.
