I had tons of fun making this dress! I was really happy I made a muslin first so I could smooth out anything sitting funny and figure out how to sew the wavy seam on the front. I used the instructions from the book Pattern Magic vol. 1 to draft the pattern. I really love how it turned out and now I just need somewhere fancy to wear it! If I were to make it again I would make it out of something a little more stiff to create a more defined wavy shape.

Thanks! I’m not sure how much I used, probably a yard and a half, but the fabric I used was also very wide because the pattern peices ended up being so big.

I think it looks amazing in linen! So comfortable and easy to wear, I should think :D How about a slightly longer version out of denim for winter? Thanks for sharing, I’d long wondered what it would look like on a “real” person :P

oh im so glad someone has done this! I LOVE this pattern and have wanted to tackle it for ages! I really like that you used linen and the way it drapes. this ones great because you can wear it casually but it still has amazing details, and now you have the pattern again! i agree also, piping would be a nice addition, would highlight all the effort you put in quite nicely
