A very plain little sundress, based loosely upon Burda 8511 ( a sheath dress pattern) but flared more to accommodate welt pockets… the difference is that the welts are wave-y! Inspired by a Christopher Kane design, which features gel-filled plastic wave-y welts. I can’t do gel-filled plastic so reproduced the look in fabric instead.
All the fabrics used are leftovers and scraps from other projects in my studio. Also on my blog here
(I hope) I’ve added the instructions on how to do the wave-y welts…
sea-foam green linen, burnt orange raw silk, bias cut white cotton for the HongKong seaming and hem tape
