Description

I bought this colourful African fabric at a thrift store a couple of years ago and decided it was time to turn it into a summer skirt. The pattern is no. 132 from Burda 06/2005 (I didn’t manage to find it in the list, perhaps it’s too old?). What I like about the pattern are the yoke and the fact that the skirt part is just the right size for my piece of fabric. I did, however, make a couple of changes. Besides omitting the cut-outs in the yoke, I lenghtened the skirt considerably, sewed on two pockets and added piping to the yoke and pocket flaps. For more pictures and details, see my blog
