Whilst it’s the beginning of winter in Melbourne I’m going to Malaysia & Hong Kong in August & so I’ve been busy sewing new pieces for my summer travel wardrobe. The first is this pair of shorts. They’re made with silk & lined with cotton voille. I used an old Simplicity pattern for them, (9461). I’ve named these watermelon shorts because the colours & the print of the silk reminds me of biting into a cool watermelon on a hot summer’s day.
