Simplicity 2154, Retro 1960s:Misses’/Miss Petite Blouse, Skirt, Jacket and Knit Cardigan. Vogue 1160 (used for sleeves)
The moment I saw this pattern, I knew I wanted to make up the blouse. In my quest for the perfect top, this looked like it might be just the ticket!
Obviously, I made a substantial change to this blouse – I added sleeves. I am absolutely in love with the sleeves from Vogue 1160. I knew as soon as I completed the DKNY dress that those sleeves would come in handy, and now seemed like the perfect opportunity to make some use of them.
Because I did not wish to use a zipper, I tried cutting my pieces on the bias to give myself a bit of extra room to slide in and out of the top. And it worked beautifully!
I am certain that I will be using this pattern again, and I would highly recommend it (along with that DKNY pattern, if only for the sleeves).

Overheard Conversation 22:
(gasp) “There’s nowhere to hide!” “Mmm hmm. She’s omnipresent.” “Every time we turn around, THAT one crops up.” “Like clockwork, or Kathie Lee Gifford.” “What if Laura Mae replaced Hoda?” “I’d call that ‘charmagedon’”.

I loved that blouse when I saw it also, haven’t made it yet though. Yours is lovely and the sleeves are a perfect touch.
