I Just made the basic waistcoat, none of the extras! I’m really happy with it – and I learned alot!
I was lucky I had enough fabric, I was very doubtful when I first layed the fabric out to be cut. But I did go on to find I didn’t have four matching buttons and I wasn’t going to wait to finish it! I completed it in a evening and a morning. I think of this top as more of a gillet.
This has inspired me to make a coat… just waiting for the fabric to arrive!
I talk a little about my waistcoat on my blog http://rosieshonestfabrication.blogspot.com/
Brown Pinstripe -don't actually know what it's made from and the fleece lining is an old Blanket that had already been massacred Four yellow buttons that were almost the same size and colour

very nice! Non-matching buttons are really cute! I’m also making Franzi-vest and i also have a problem of finding matching buttons….
