I’m leading a sewing/knitting/crocheting ministry at my church and the first project is walker/wheelchair bags. I’ve already made one crocheted bag and here are two sewn bags.
The pattern is based on a crocheted pattern, but is basically my own design and instructions.
Read more about the project on my blog here and here.
Woven cotton of remnant fabric given to me by my grandmother or friend. Other materials include all-purpose thread and Velcro.

hi easbrooke, I love the idea of selfmade wheelchair bags. Good luck and I wish more ladies will join your project. (especially those ladies who are non-related to keys…LOL)

Thanks so much, freaky-philomeen! Sorry it took so long to respond! I’m just now coming back to BurdaStyle to check out updates. I’ve gone a long time! Yikes! Semester’s half way through though and I’ve got spring break next week. I’ll have a little bit of time to sew. :)
