This was a tutorial on Tula Pink’s website. My sister in law is getting married and her soon to be husband restores VW’s, porsche’s, etc. so I thought this would be adorable and match the gray bedding that is on their registry. This was my first time doing applique and there were a lot of tiny pieces. I was terrified to begin—however it actually came together very quickly and was super fun!
The back is two different aqua patterns, and it is envelope style. I thought I had a pic but apparently not. Each piece is quilted differently. Instead of embroidering the VW symbol I put their initials inside: j and m.
