Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I got this material from a friend whose mother passed.
The mother had been a seamstress in NewYork for
a French designer for many years.
I loved the material but it is kind of a strange material
for a garment and I had a really hard time figuring out
what to do with it. UNTIL I saw Very Purple Person’s ,
‘Dresses and long socks go together’ (It is in my
favourite’s.)
I loved the stitching on her dress. So here is my version
and I am not toooooo sure on the outcome but it is fun
dress to wear around the house. I feel like I am out of the
30’s for some reason when I wear this!
Material Notes
Black and Grey cotton material. Some elastic for the
back neckline and thick grey cotton thread for the
top-stitching!
