Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I needed one more dress with a little bit of 50’s style for cold days. So I used the Vogue Pattern V1102 and a woolen fabric, that has some body and feels thogh enough for cold temperatures and windy days.
Instead of the big bow in the back of the dress, like the patterns says, I made a bowbelt out of the same fabric. I added pockets that are hide in the sideseams of the skirt. I had to add two more bustdarts and take in some wide at the sides. Next time I will sew the dress one size smaler than my measurements call for … I think there is still a little bit much ease at the waist.
I like the dress very much, espacially with the contrasting lining and the hem. I wore it with a cardigan last week and it was just perfect during a further (mayby last?) snowfall in this winter.
Material Notes
grey wool-poly-mix,
minty green cotton for the lining,
minty green ribbon at the inside of the hem
