I made this dress in a cream ponteroma – it turned out pretty heavy, but I like that because I can wear it into the fall. It turned out a little big, but rather than sizing it down, I just left out a zipper and pull it over my head. I did sew clear elastic into the waistline to keep it from sagging. I also lined all but the top front bodice with nude lycra knit. I left the lining out of the top front bodice because I was afraid it would end up too bulky with all of the gathering. I feel like this dress has a really flattering shape. If I sew it again, I will make a snugger fit and add a zipper, but I am happy with this first run through.
