I am in the middle of this pattern! Your’s turned out great!!! I am having trouble with the fitting of mine… what kind of fabric did you use?

I used a medium weight drapey polyester fabric. For the fit, I definitely made a muslin version first! I ended up cutting a whole two sizes smaller on top than on the bottom. Remember if you make alterations to the dress pieces, also make the same changes to the foundation pieces AND lining pieces. (That was why I cut a smaller size, instead of trying tricky alterations on the bodice…it was going to be really hard to make changes to the pattern!)
Good luck!!

OH MY ! Holy monkey what a fantastic dress. I can’t imagine even attempting this! The piping is fantastic. I would love to see super detailed pic’s as I can’t believe that this is humanly possible at home (my sewing machine truly…is truly bad at stitches ;-)_) I love the fabric also, really wonderful on you.

I bought this fabric at my local fabric store Fabricana – they don’t have an online shop though! If I ever see it for sale online I’ll add it to the notes for this project. I bought it in the last two months so it’s likely out there, somewhere.

I think you did such a great job, definitely needs to be worn on its own without the cardigan (on your blog), looks great.
