I made this version of the iconic brown dress from Pretty Woman last month and wore it on Melbourne Cup day.
I put a lot of thought into which pattern to use, I had to hunt a lot harder than I thought would be necessary to find the fabric, the gloves were a lucky market find, and the belt was purchased new.

Medium weight cotton (I’m sure the original is like a crepe de chine or something lighter like hat, but this works ok.) I lined it with cotton batiste.
Leopard and snakeskin are the new neutrals.
