I love it when fellow members are inspired by others. I saw BeckySewKnits pay homage to Vivit Veritas backless sundress and had to follow suit. Shout out to both Vivat Veritas and BeckySewKnits for their creativity using the Danielle! Girls you are awesome. Originally, I would not dream of making a garment like the Danielle because of the amount of bulk in the design. Don’t need extra padding, as I have lot of curves I am working with already. All the curvy girls…holla! So I made this dress with a few modifications. First, I graded the patttern up to size 46, but I realize, I could have used the 44. I lengthen the front bodice 2", shorten the skirt by 2", removed the front pleats and reduced the skirt ease a tad by placing the gathers only in the front of the garment.
My sister can’t believe that I will rock a backless dress at a size 14 and 36D. Hell ya…back fat and all…I love my body and my hubby loves it to. LOL

The back is really nice. The leather detail on the front as well. Well done!

I am glad you like the dress…the fabric color is actually coral. I know the dress looks pink in the pictures.

Haha. This is such a cute dress and the fabric makes it really cute. I love the fabric you used, even though I’m not a fan of pink.
