My entry for the Vintage Modern Design Challenge started with the “All Day Apron” pattern from Indygo junction and turned into the “Sunny Day Dress”. I extended the apron skirt to make it meet in the back, extended the length to make it even. I extended and lengthened the ruffle all the way around the skirt. I added a piece to give it a racer style back, split the neck and inserted a zipper. To give the dress a little more shape I made a matching tie belt. Thanks to my sister in law for being a great model. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is a winner!
100% cotton, fusible interfacing for belt, 17" zipper
